The Windows 10 Consumer Preview seems set to be the real price. On compiling that one on track for a launch early next year, Microsoft is currently working.
But while January will provide a look at that version of the OS to us, details continue to leak out. Details that shed a little light on several of the features which might be anticipated to be part of the second preview version of the forthcoming operating system.
We of Cortana sound files in the current builds, though they are not quite useable right now.
And today another picture of the digital voice helper service has been , affirming that Microsoft is enabling a set group of testers to utilize this feature in preview form.
This image is really the very first screenshot revealing the Cortana icon in the taskbar.
The second one from the left -- right after the Windows Start Menu icon.
And in case you're wondering, this special user has got the high-contrast theme turned on, which can be the reason why the taskbar looks absolutely different than in the other constructs of Windows 10. Nothing much else is new here, expect for the icon.
But this is just another confirmation that Cortana will take the center stage in Windows from now on.
